For the 18th straight season, Yale will finish in the top half of the Ivy League. Miye Oni lifted the Bulldogs (7-5) to an 83-73 victory at Columbia (5-7) on Saturday, continuing one of the Ancient Eight’s most remarkable streaks and clinching a spot in the four-team conference tournament. Tyler Nelson Finishing Up Career As Fairfield, MAAC Star
Fairfield had a one-point lead with time running out when it executed a beautiful out of bounds play to seal a 69-66 comeback win over Monmouth Saturday afternoon on Senior Day.
Tyler Nelson, who was playing his final game at Webster Bank Arena, initially broke toward the ball, but instead reversed direction and got a perfect baseball pass from Wassef Methnani. It was so good that Nelson’s defender fell down, leaving Nelson alone to lay the ball in.

Seton Hall Overcomes Quick Turnaround, Survives St. John’s In OT
Seton Hall survived a scare from St. John’s Saturday afternoon at Madison Square Garden to bolster its NCAA Tournament resume and maintain its position in the middle of the Big East standings. Well, the 43rd annual Battle of Brooklyn game between St. Francis Brooklyn and LIU Brooklyn at the Steinberg Wellness Center Thursday night had it all.
In a game of huge importance for both teams, St. Francis Brooklyn in a three-way tie for second and LIU Brooklyn, still with hope of hosting a NEC tournament quarterfinal game on Wednesday night, each brought an intensity and a desire to win that has made this rivalry between the two Division I Brooklyn schools, one of the best in the NEC if not among one of the most underrated in the nation.
