Turner’s Explosive Second Half Leads Manhattan Past Quinnipiac On Senior Night

Zavier Turner was determined not to let Manhattan’s senior night end in disappointment. Honored before the game alongside fellow soon-to-be graduates Rich Williams, Calvin Crawford, and Zane Waterman, Turner stole the show Sunday night with a season-high 31 points along with eight assists to lead the Jaspers past Quinnipiac 92-86 in double overtime. The Broncs retain their spot atop this week’s rankings after becoming the first team to reach 10 league wins. Stevie Jordan led four Broncs in double figures in the win at Quinnipiac. It was an eventful week in the MAAC, and one full of rivalry games. The Battle of the Bridge was renewed in Buffalo, the New Jersey trio squared off against one another in the Hourglass rivalry, Fairfield and Quinnipiac met for the first time this season, along with Iona and Manhattan, and I’m pretty sure Siena and Saint Peter’s don’t want to see each other again for a long time.
