2018 MAAC Tournament Preview

MAAC Weekly Recap & Power Rankings – February 7

1) Rider (17-7, 10-2 MAAC) – 74-59 W @ Quinnipiac (2/4)

The Broncs retain their spot atop this week’s rankings after becoming the first team to reach 10 league wins. Stevie Jordan led four Broncs in double figures in the win at Quinnipiac. MAAC Weekly Recap & Power Rankings – January 31

It was an eventful week in the MAAC, and one full of rivalry games. The Battle of the Bridge was renewed in Buffalo, the New Jersey trio squared off against one another in the Hourglass rivalry, Fairfield and Quinnipiac met for the first time this season, along with Iona and Manhattan, and I’m pretty sure Siena and Saint Peter’s don’t want to see each other again for a long time. MAAC Weekly Recap & Power Rankings – January 17

Heading into the meat of the conference season, we are beginning to see some separation in the MAAC standings. Iona and Canisius both swept the week and currently sit in a tie atop the league standing at 5-1. MAAC Weekly Recap & Power Rankings – January 10

The second week of MAAC play brought as many surprises as the first. We have a new top team this week (but one that’s been there before!) after winless Siena upset undefeated Canisius, proving just how wide-open the league is this year. There is plenty of movement in the middle of the rankings as well after Niagara evened its record at 2-2 and Manhattan dropped a pair.
