Three Thoughts: Bryant 80, Saint Francis University 54

Tim O’Shea came into the media room after Bryant’s 80-54 dissection of NEC rival Saint Francis University Thursday night and said simply, “A little better than the last game, huh?” Continue reading “Three Thoughts: Bryant 80, Saint Francis University 54”

Three Thoughts: FDU 75, LIU Brooklyn 69

We may never be sure this season about the talent Greg Herenda has at Fairleigh Dickinson, just two years into a majot rebuilding project, and having graduated the player who led the Knights back to the NEC Tournament last season in Sidney Sanders.

But just two games into the 2014-15 NEC campaign, we do know this: FDU is not going to lie down and accept its fate, and if you’re going to beat them, you better make sure the job is done.

Three Thoughts: St. Francis Brooklyn 63, Bryant 47 (The Amdy Fall Show)

As good as we are with advanced statistics, we haven’t quite gotten to shots adjusted or changed yet (it’s surely coming soon). Three Thoughts: Yale 70, Sacred Heart 64

I’ve (pretty much unsuccessfully) tried to start the #RoadGamesAreHard hashtag this season, so I should have been less surprised than most to see Yale struggle to put away Sacred Heart Tuesday afternoon. They finally did 70-64 to go to 10-4 on the season, but it wasn’t pretty to watch, with 20 turnovers (in 64 possessions) and a spirited rally from an improved Pioneer team late.
