Siena’s Patsos Set to Reset Marist Rivalry
This may be a matchup of two first year head coaches in a rivalry game, but Siena head coach Jimmy Patsos has experienced that Marist can be a tough matchup.
Patsos, whose career record against Marist is 11-7 and just 3-6 at McCann Arena, will not have to worry about traveling to Poughkeepsie until February. However, he will have to deal with a Red Foxes team at the Times Union Center that has won five games in a row for the first time since the 2007-08 season. On Sunday Marist defeated Penn 76-62 for their third straight victory to close out 2013 at McCann Arena. The Red Foxes close their non-conference schedule at 3-7 and have won three games in a row for the first time since the end of the 2012-13 regular season.

All-in-all Sunday wasn’t a bad day to be a team from the New York City area.
