34 Previews in 34 Days: Saint Francis University

Saint Francis University

Outlook: For the first time in Rob Krimmel’s coaching career, both as the head coach and as an assistant, the Red Flash are the decided favorite of the 2017-18 season. Replacing defensive stalwart Josh Nebo looms large as Krimmel boasts the deepest collection of guards and wings in the league. Continue reading “34 Previews in 34 Days: Saint Francis University”

Malik Harmon’s Injury Leaves Hole in Saint Francis Backcourt

The Saint Francis Red Flash have had a very respectable run under Rob Krimmel. After stumbling to a 5-24 record in his inaugural season, even after star forward Scott Eatherton abruptly transferred in the offseason prior, Krimmel has quietly built the program into a solid NEC contender by compiling 27 conference victories during the past three seasons. Injuries, Especially Isaiah Blackmon’s, Derailed SFU Last Season

It’s that time of the year again. I’ve begun the process of researching each NEC program in order to write all 10 team previews for the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook. NEC Power Rankings – Version 1

To put it honestly and succinctly, the NEC has been a mess in what could be construed as the 1st inning of the 2015-16 season. Way Too Early NEC All-Conference Teams

As the NEC writer for the upcoming Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, I’ve started my deep analysis for each individual program. I still have several coaches to speak with throughout the summer, but I wanted to convey my current thoughts on the conference’s returning individual talent. Because 10 of 15 players have graduated or transferred from last year’s Big Apple Buckets all-NEC teams, this Way Too Early exercise would surely garner a ton of differing opinions. Maturing Saint Francis University Falls To American

After dropping their season opener against a more athletic and talented Cincinnati squad, Saint Francis University (SFU) admirably stood toe to toe with the defending Patriot League champions before falling in defeat after Dominique Major’s three-pointer at the buzzer clanged off the back of the rim. It was a difficult loss, considering the Red Flash had three possessions late to either tie or take the lead, but with all things considered, Rob Krimmel wasn’t too disappointed with the final outcome.
