Every Saturday there’s a bunch of games to pick one, but only one is going to be named the Saturday Game of the Week! (SGOTW) This week’s is Wagner at Princeton. This game has a lot of intrigue thanks to the debut of Mitch Henderson on the bench for the Tigers, the hype around the Seahawks and the close game these two teams played last season (a 69-57 Princeton win).

As Dan Hurley continues to rebuild the Wagner program and get the Seahawks ready to compete in the NEC, one of things he has to do is continually bring in new talent to replace the players that are leaving and solidify the program’s foundation. This year’s recruiting class appears to do just that.

Hurley building something at Wagner
Besides a one-year blip during the 2007-08 season Wagner hasn’t had a record above .500 in Northeast Conference since 2004-05 season. The Seahawks have had just two winning seasons since 2002-03. But Dan Hurley is doing his best to change all that.
The commitment of 2012 forward Eric Fanning to Wagner on Monday continues a strong uptick in recruiting. (Highlight videos are here and here.)
