MAAC Preseason Top 10 and Player of the Year
During the 2006-07 season, according to kenpom.com, the MAAC has 30 of their 90 conference games determined by four points or fewer or in overtime. That stat made the MAAC that season the most competitive conference out of all 32 conferences. During that season, seven of the 10 teams finished .500 or better. At the end of the MAAC Tournament, second-seeded Niagara won the title with a win over fourth-seeded Siena 83-79, by four points.

Q&A with Dan Hanner about Preseason Predictions
Dan Hanner released his preseason rankings from 1 (Indiana) – 345 (Grambling) yesterday. He’ll be expanding on the rankings more in College Basketball Prospectus 13 (out soon!) and ESPN The Magazine. Most of that though will probably focus on bigger schools, so I asked Dan to dive into the rankings for the conferences we cover here at Big Apple Buckets. Manhattan Green & White Scrimmage Notes
I went to the Green & White scrimmage at Manhattan on Wednesday night. The game ended in a 93-93 tie as Emmy Andujar’s runner at the buzzer fell short. This game was more for the coaches, but it was also an early opportunity to take a look at the new guys on the roster.
