There’s actually one New York City area team still playing in the postseason right now, Iona. The Gaels took down Buffalo last night in the quarterfinals for the right to play in the Final Four of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Lohud.com even acknowledged after the game that Iona might actually be getting something out of the tournament.

Last night it was the work of senior Jermel Jenkins, who scored a career-high 23 points in the 78-63 victory, that kept the season alive. (The Daily News has more.) It’s back on the road again for Iona when they play at East Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., but it’s one more game and one more chance to keep the season going.
