ALBANY, N.Y. – Monmouth exerted its will after a slow start on Sunday afternoon in the first MAAC semifinal.
They trailed by nine in the first half but erased that steadily and left the first 20 minutes with a six point lead, it would only escalate from there.
Micah Seaborn led the Hawks with 17 points as Monmouth downed fifth-seeded Fairfield 76-63 in the first semifinal game.
They advance to their first MAAC championship game in school history on Monday night and will play at 7pm on ESPN.
