Isaiah Miles scored a career-high 36, while Deandre’ Bembry was not far behind with 22 of his own. The last time the Hawks won in New York City was their Atlantic 10 tournament victory over VCU, but now they have won five in a row and are 9-2 for the first time since 2004.

“They were dominant,” Virginia Tech head coach Buzz Williams said. “I thought their team, their energy, their toughness and I thought they just overwhelmed us from the beginning.”
