“It’s unfortunate to be without two projected starters and a key front court reserve this early in the season but I have great belief in our depth,” head coach Tom Moore said in a statement. “Sam had a great fall and was improving every day. I have been thrilled with the play of Justin Harris, Alain Chigha, and James Ford and I’m excited about their continued contributions.”

Sumbry did not appear during the 2014-15 season for the Bobcats after playing 29 of 32 games last season. He averaged 1.4 points per game in 9.1 minutes per game for Quinnipiac last season.

Dingba, a highly touted recruit out of Cameroon, scored two points and grabbed one rebound in nine minutes of action in his collegiate debut against Yale but hasn’t seen the floor since.
