St. Francis (NY) released its schedule today, becoming the first of the Northeast Conference’s three New York City schools to do so. The biggest, and nicest, surprise was a game against local rival Stony Brook at the Pope Physical Education Center on December 11.There are three games versus high majors – at Illinois on November 11, at Boston College on December 8 and versus St. John’s at the Barclays Center on December 15. The other non-conference home games are against Army on November 11 and Colgate on December 22. There’s another local game on December 30, when SFC takes on NJIT in Newark. I’m not a betting man, but if I was I’d set the over/under on the Terriers’ non-conference wins at 5.5, and I might be tempted to take the over.
Wow — The Terriers’ game with Illinois is really out of the blue. Must be a really solid “cash” game for SFC NY since there are so many other opportunities for guarantee games closer to home.
