Dribble Handoffs – Almost There Edition

The season has started for a few teams and most are just days away from kicking off the march towards Madness. And today just happens to be national signing day. Thus there’s a lot of activity all around college basketball and its a perfect time for another edition of Dribble Handoffs.

Before you do anything go buy Basketball Prospectus 2011-12. It’s 345 pages of tempo-free goodness done by 16 talented writers and myself. I did most of the Independents and all of America East and NEC. I hope you’ll learn something no matter what team you follow. It’s a great resource to have as the season goes on as well.

If you want to see some other people’s opinions about the America East, and especially Stony Brook, check out Unranked AE’s preview of the Seawolves. Also, be sure to read The Stateman’s SBU preview. It’s incredible. Stony Brook start the season on Friday at Indiana.

If you’re looking to catch an Ivy League game this season and live in the New York, Philadelphia, Boston or Los Angeles area this composite schedule from Ivy Hoops Online should prove useful. You’ll be able to catch me at a number of Columbia games this season.

Speaking of the Lions, according to Jeff Borzello’s Twitter account they got a new commit on signing day. Grant Mullins is a 6’2″ 170-pound point guard from Regional Elite Development Academy.
